Becoming by Michelle Obama

I received this book from my 15 year old daughter, who herself is an avid reader. I was a little unsure of whether I will like a biography. Particularly, because while I liked Barack Obama as a President of USA, I was still not so sure whether Michelle Obama's writing will be of much interest to me.

But I am absolutely fascinated with what Michelle Obama has achieved in this book. Her writing is so down to earth and honest, that it pulls a reader into the simple, elegant and extraordinary live of the Obamas. And what a story and journey has it been for them? Its sometimes unbelievable how Michelle Obama navigated amidst the high profile job of her office and duty as a First Lady, to being a simple mother who wishes, at all costs, to keep her daughters grounded. I fell in love with Michelle Obama and most importantly, her simple minded life, her commitment to family and her endearing attempts to navigate political limelight.
